Loft and cavity wall insulations are the most effective methods of making a home energy efficient. For this reason, more and more families are insulating their homes for many different reasons. One of which is to save on heating and cooling bills. From the term itself, loft or cavity wall insulation can make the home sufficient in keeping the warm or cool air inside from going out and in keeping the air outside from coming in. Some of the criteria for the full home insulation grant is if the owner is 60 years and older, and receives benefits, such as income support, council tax credit, disability living allowance or pension, or housing benefit. A homeowner who has a child under 16 years old or is pregnant and who has been given a maternity MAT B1, as well as receives some benefits would also qualify for the 100% home improvement grant. Furthermore, those with an income of less than £16,240 and who receive the aforementioned benefits may also qualify for the government grant.
